How to Join ADNOC Schools Community

ADNOC Schools usually open Admissions in November each year (date to be confirmed) for the next academic year. The earlier you apply the better. Easy application no hassle! Admissions will be dependent on seats availability.

 

  • All applications are digital and submitted online through our website. We have no paper applications.
  • All you will be asked for at this stage is some general information about your child, parents, contact details, background and attachments.
  • You can expect to receive a confirmation that we have received and reviewed your application within 5 business days
  • Applications can move to Step 2 if seat is available.

Please Note: Applicants to ADNOC Schools are selected based on academic achievement and good behavioral records. The Admissions Committee considers current capacity at the recommended grade level, student aptitude, and social/emotional maturity, with special attention given to each applicant’s prior academic and non-academic records in school, as measured by grades.

If there is no availability, applications will be placed on the waiting list up until the start of the academic year in case of any openings. If nothing opens, applications on the waiting list are not automatically moved to next academic year and applicants are advised to reapply for each year.

  • KG1 and KG2 Students: Are invited to attend an Early Learning Interview. The purpose of the interview will provide a basis for the school to assess school readiness and levels of maturity. Please be advised that at ADNOC Schools, we expect all children to be fully toilet-trained when starting school.
  • Grade 1 and Grade 2 Students: Classroom based assessments are conducted on an individual basis. The student will complete a written assessment in English and Math independently.
  • Grade 3, Grade 4, and Grade 5 Students: Undergo a Computerized basic Entrance MAP Exam. Students’ results of the MAP test are used to ensure that students have the right level of knowledge and skills needed for a certain grade. We then review the results to ensure that there is a good match between our learning environment and the child’s needs.
  • Grade 6 to Grade 12 (Middle and High School Students): Undergo a Computerized Admissions Entrance Exam Test in Math and English. For successful admission to our school, the applicant student must pass Math and English. Note: Grade 11 and Grade 12 students are also required to complete additional assessments for the elective Science courses. Following a successful examination, follow-up meetings will be held with the School Career Counsellor to discuss options and other potential academic entry requirements.

Make sure to be ready to provide:

  • Applicant’s passport copy or Emirates ID (uploaded in online application)
  • Latest 3 years report cards (uploaded in online application)
  • School Recommendation letter filled by current school.

Please note: Failure to fully disclose information about a child’s additional learning needs, may put your child’s place in school at risk.

The accepted applicants receive an email with a registration link to continue the admission formalities and upload the required documents.

Attestation Requirements

The Admissions Team will formally communicate with parents after completing the registration procedure and send the placement offer. This communication will include a Registration Fee invoice for 5% of the tuition fee which is payable at the school campus or via Bank Transfer. Please refer to our Tuition Fees section for further details.

Bus Fees (optional)

To register your interest in the School Bus Service, please complete the Bus Service Request Form available online, upon request from the Transportation Officer or the bus transport contact 02-496 4539 and submit to: TransportationMZ@adnoc.sch.ae.

Registration Fee

  • The registration fee is payable after the student has been offered a place and parents fees have accepted the offer.
  • The registration fee is 5% of the annual tuition fees and is deductible from the total tuition fee for the academic year.
  • The seat will be reserved for a student only upon receiving the registration fee in the bank account and confirmation from the school finance.
  • The registration fee is non-refundable. If the parents did not provide written notification to the school two weeks prior to the start of the new academic year.

Re-Registration

  • The re-registration Fee will only be accepted after settling all the outstanding/due balances in full.
  • The re-registration fee is 5% and is deductible from the total tuition fees for the academic year.
  • The seat will be reserved for a student only upon receiving the registration fee in the bank account and confirmation from the school finance.
  • The re-registration fee is non-refundable.

Tuition Fees

  • The tuition fee may be settled in full annual payment on/or before the start of the Academic year in August, or it can be settled over three equal instalments as per the schedule of fees.
  • Term 1 invoice will be for tuition fees from Sept to Dec (4 months), Term 2 from Jan to Mar (3 months), and Term 3 from Apr to Jul (3 months).
  • The due date for term 1, term 2 & term 3 tuition fees are 1st August, 1st December and 1st of March respectively
  • Book fees are payable with Term 1 fees.

Non-Payment of Fees

  • The school requires parents to pay all the tuition fees in line with Abu Dhabi Education Knowledge Council (ADEK) regulations.
  • Failure to pay the re-registration fee may result in the loss of the student’s place in the school for the next Academic year.
  • Failure to pay tuition fees after sending three warning notices may result in student suspension up to three days, withholding examination report cards, transfer certificates, and a block on eSIS and re-registering the student for the following academic year until all outstanding balances are fully settled.
  • Where parents/guardians are experiencing difficulty in meeting payment due dates, they should contact the school immediately so repayment options can be discussed.
  • In cases of continued non-payment, the school will, having exhausted all other options, commence suspension procedures in line with ADEK guidelines. This will consist of a series of warning notices sent at weekly intervals. A suspension notice will be issued after three such warnings.
  • The school reserves the right to withhold examination report cards, transfer certificates, and re-registering a student until all outstanding dues are settled.
  • We will not prevent students from sitting for any end-of-term or end-of-year examinations or any examinations assigned during the term as a consequence of non-payment of school fees.

New Starters/Leaver Fee seating

  • The registration fees & Re-registration fees are non-refundable.
  • If a student attends one to three weeks in a term, the school will retain the value of one full month of tuition fees.
  • If a student attends over three weeks and up to six weeks in a term, the school will retain the value of two months of tuition fees.
  • If a student attends over six weeks in a term, the school will retain the full term of tuition fee.
  • The book fees will be charged if received by the student.
  • Any part of the week is considered a full week. The above applies to tuition & bus fees.
  • Official holidays and absences are considered part of the week.
  • These cases apply to current, newly enrolled students as well as students who register after a term has already commenced.

Payment instructions/Methods of payment

  • Payment must be made by bank deposit, bank transfer to the school bank account shown in the above bank account details.
  • Bank cheques can be accepted according to the tuition fee due dates.
  • Bank payment through Pay it APP can be accepted.
  • Proof of bank deposit slips, bank transfers should be sent to FinanceMZ@adnoc.sch.ae
  • For any cheques returned by the bank, the parent will be liable to pay the relevant bank charges and to settle the amount.
  • Credit cards and cash payments are not accepted in school.
ADNOC Schools usually open admissions for the new academic year in November and announcements will be posted on the school website. Once admission is open, fill in the online application form and attach the required documents.
You are only required to upload a copy of your child’s passport or Emirates ID, along with report cards from the last three academic years (if applicable).

ADNOC Schools have four branches located in Abu Dhabi and the Al Dhafra Region: SAS Al Nakhl, Madinat Zayed, Ghayathi, and Ruwais. Each branch includes three campuses (KG& Elementary, Female, and Male) except for Ghayathi, which has only an KG& Elementary Campus.

Yes, international students are welcome to apply. Arabic and Islamic Studies classes are also available for non-native speakers upon request.

As per ADEK’s updated age cut-off policy, children must be at least 4 years old on or before August 31st to be eligible for KG1 enrollment. Unfortunately, exceptions to this policy are not permitted.

Our dedicated Special Education Needs (SEN) department provides comprehensive support for students of determination through high-quality teaching, both push-in and pull-out services, and assistance from trained inclusion support staff. Note: An extra 50% of the school fee will be added to students receiving Special Education Services. Parents will be required to sign the Tuition Fee No Objection letter upon admission and/or diagnosis. This additional fee will not apply to the students whose families provide a shadow teacher.

The Admissions Team is available to provide updates on your child’s application at any time. However, you will only be contacted if and when a seat becomes available. The waiting list remains active until the Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge (ADEK) closes the school transfer screen within the region.

In some cases, parents may be asked to sign an undertaking in advance, allowing the enrollment process to begin early. Once a seat becomes available, payment may be requested at that time to help expedite the process and avoid delays.

We do not assign specific numbers on the waiting list. Priority is given to siblings of current students and children of ADNOC employees, with all other applications considered afterward.

Admissions Assessment Results will be issued within 10 working days.

Delays in assessment results or the admission process may be caused by missing required admissions documents.

You may still apply; however, admission will depend on seat availability. Please note that registration deadlines are set in accordance with ADEK regulations.

A Snap Code is a unique identifier needed to access your child’s registration for the upcoming school year. Each child will have a separate link provided by the school. When you click the link, your child’s Snap Code will be entered automatically.

  • If you have never completed an online registration before, you will need to create an account. This enables you to securely save your progress and return later to finish the registration if needed. You can create the account using either your email address or mobile number.
  • If you already have an account, simply sign in to continue and complete the form. Please use the same account when submitting applications for multiple children.

Yes, by clicking the “Save and Sign Out” button, you can securely save your entered information and return to finish the Form at any time.

Once a Snap Code is accessed by one parent, it becomes unavailable to others. Only the email address used for the initial login can access and complete the submission.

Not every question is mandatory, but all fields marked as “Required” must be completed before submitting the form. Please provide your answers in English. For your convenience, an Arabic-translated version of the questions is also available as a reference.

Yes, a separate registration must be completed for each child, as individual information is required. We recommend completing one child’s registration first before starting the next, as shared family details will carry over and help save time.

English is the main language of instruction at ADNOC Schools.

ADNOC Schools implement the American Curriculum based on the Massachusetts Framework, alongside the Ministry of Education (MOE) curriculum for Arabic and Islamic Studies. The academic program is structured to prepare students for a variety of Advanced Placement (AP) courses in their senior year. Additionally, a wide range of electives and alternative courses is available, allowing students to customize their high school schedules according to their interests and academic goals.

No, your child will not be required to repeat a grade. They will be placed in the corresponding next grade level at ADNOC Schools. Please keep in mind that British schools usually begin a year earlier and use a different grade numbering system, as shown in the table below:

KG1 and KG2 Students: Applicants to KG1 and KG2 will be invited to participate in an Early Learning Interview. This session allows the school to evaluate each child’s school readiness and developmental milestones.

Grade 1 and Grade 2 Students:Students applying to Grades 1 and 2 will complete individual, classroom-based assessments. Each child is required to independently take a written test in both English and Math.

Grade 3, Grade 4, and Grade 5 Students: Applicants for Grades 3 to 5 must take a computerized MAP entrance assessment. This test evaluates whether the student has the foundational knowledge and skills appropriate for their intended grade level. The Admissions Academic Committee reviews the results thoroughly to ensure alignment between the student’s academic profile and the curriculum offered at ADNOC Schools.

Grade 6 to Grade 12 (Middle and High School Students): Students applying to Grades 6 through 12 are required to take a computerized entrance exam in both Math and English. A passing score in both subjects is necessary for admission consideration.<br/ > Please Note:

  •  Applicants to Grades 11 and 12 must also complete additional assessments based on their selected science electives. After successfully completing the entrance exams, students will meet with the School Career Counsellor to discuss available course options and any further academic requirements.
  • Assessment and interview outcomes are communicated within 10 working days. Please note that individual test results are not shared with applicants. ADNOC Schools also reserves the right to decline requests for retesting or additional interviews.

ADEK approval is mandatory for students transferring from the British Curriculum into Grade 10 or above. Once the student has been selected and accepted, the following steps must be completed to finalize the registration:

  • The school will issue a No objection letterconfirming seat availability in the intended Grade level
  • For students entering Grades 10, 11, or 12, approval from the Ministry of Education (MOE) is required to transition from the British Curriculum to the American Curriculum. This request must be submitted via the MOE portal:https://www.moe.gov.ae/en/eservices/servicecard/pages/certequivalentmove.aspx
  • The application to MOE should be submitted after receiving the student’s End-of-Year Report Card.
  • Ensure that all required documents and information are uploaded correctly when accessing the portal. Once submitted, MOE approval is typically processed within 1 to 3 weeks.
You will receive an automatic confirmation email once your application has been successfully submitted.
In the most recent evaluation by ADEK, ADNOC Schools received a rating of “Good” with a classification of “Virtually Developed.

  • Electives courses in ADNOC Schools are chosen by students through a course selection process which is usually communicated to parents in early January.
  • Students have prerequisites for certain courses-such as Advanced Placement (AP) which require approvals and some courses are on a first come first serve basis due to capacity.
  • Elective Courses at ADNOC Schools are designed within curriculum pathways tailored to student cohorts and are aligned with Ministry of Education (MOE) requirements, as well as, for certain courses, University Admission Criteria.

Parents contact the Admissions Office at their current campus and submit a new online application via the ADNOC Schools website for the desired campus. Approval is subject to seat availability, and all required documents must be submitted before the transfer is confirmed.

Once the admission period opens, complete the Online Application Form, and upload the required documents, including the attested Final Report Card and Transfer Certificate.

The School Leaving Certificate will be accessible through the TAMM application (https://www.tamm.abudhabi/en) after your withdrawal is finalized in the ADEK system. This process will begin once you complete and submit the Online Withdrawal Form using the following link: https://registration.powerschool.com/family/gosnap.aspx?action=44050&culture=en

You can update the information by providing the school with the original, updated Emirates ID. The update will be processed in the ADEK eSIS system using an Emirates ID reader.

Yes, registration can be completed using the “No Emirates ID” option in the ADEK eSIS system.

To update your home address, please provide the school with a copy of your electricity bill that includes the updated Premises ID. This information is required to process the update in the ADEK eSIS system.

Yes, transfers are possible if they occur before the transfer deadline set by Department of Education and Knowledge (ADEK).

You can initiate the process by sending an email request to adregistration@adnoc.sch.ae. You will then receive a Request Form, which must be completed, signed, and returned via email.

No, ADNOC Schools do not offer discounts for siblings or employees of the ADNOC Group.

No, the application process does not require a fee. Simply complete the online application form on our website. Registration fees are only required after your child has been successfully accepted and the registration process begins.

The registration fee is due once a place has been offered to the student and the parents have accepted the offer. It amounts to 5% of the annual tuition fee and will be deducted from the total tuition fee for the academic year. According to ADEK policy, this fee is non-refundable.

Fee payments are due according to the school terms set for all ADNOC Schools Campuses.
